Internal Access with Story Ladders in Hatch-Type Decks

The Low-Cost Variant for Upward Access in Scaffolding

Hatch-type decks – with the same function as scaffolding decks – allow for work decks, a stiffening element, and access inside the scaffolding structure, allowing material to be transported to a limited extent. Depending on the requirements and conditions of use, you can select Layher hatch-type decks in steel or aluminum versions. The ladders are available either for suspension, or already integrated into the deck, the integrated ladder favors faster construction and is theft proof. For work on the access deck, the ladder is removed if loose or simply folded up if integrated. A hatch closes off the access opening.

Layher’s Comfort Stairs are stable and lightweight, yet very strong. Improving efficiency on site, these stairs are ideally suited for small to medium sized construction projects.

More safety, convenience and speed when ascending the tower is offered by the Layher Comfort Stair. Material transport is facilitated by the additional use of the work decks as all-round walkways.

The Comfort Stairtower is a 4 standard tower, either free standing or integrated into the scaffolding. Both parallel and opposite stairways are possible here.

Allround Stairway Tower 200

This is Layher’s most utilized stringer access stair, constructed using standard Layher Allround® components. With the Allround® stairtower 200, 10-standard, each stairway is assembled from 2 separate O-stair stringers 200, with standard decks used as steps.

The high proportions of standardized material in addition to the low weight/volume of the individual parts permits a lot of variants in the stairway width while keeping the additional costs low.

Using higher-tensile steel grades, a thinner material and an intelligent combination of profiles and material concentrations at structurally relevant areas, it has proved possible to reduce the weight of the steel deck, already established in the market, by up to 2.2 kg or 10 % – while retaining its high load-bearing capacity.   • Better grip thanks to optimised steel cap and to the new longitudinal profile, ensuring more ergonomic handling and greater safety.
  • Weight saving of up to 10 % while retaining a high load-bearing capacity – meaning lower labour costs, an increase in truck capacity and improved ergonomics.
  • Can be combined with steel decks of previous generations during assembly and transport.
  • Strong feeling of safety when walking on the decks thanks to transverse reinforcements in the surface.

The steel gap sheeet is used to cover the gap between two scaffolding decks both in Allround and in SpeedyScaf. Can be used for gap widths up to 20 cm.

Telescoping U-System Deck

Cover ledger 110 LW are available in various lengths for gap-free work surfaces between the main scaffolding decks and the bracket decks.

The standard requires that the gap between decks should not exceed 25 mm. Depending on bay width and deck laying variants with differing deck widths (0.61 m, 0.32 m and 0.19 m), compliance with the 25 mm gap width requirement is not always possible. This is why a deck was designed to adapt infinitely to all possible gap dimensions that might occur. It allows gaps from 40–255 mm to be closed conveniently.

  • Same load classes as in the steel decks.
  • Decks can be fixed in place – no more slipping.
  • Rapid assembly.
  • No additional fitting of gap covers required.
  • Gap-free and closed surface, infinite adjustment.
